Here’s your guide to exploring the best of Bruny Island. We recommend you spend a minimum of 2-3 days on the island, but a week really allows you to experience how special the island is. You will need to take a car on the ferry from Kettering to reach Bruny Island. It is also best to come prepared with your food and supplies, as there is no large shopping centres on the island, but we do have general stores for your essential items.

The Neck Lookout
The Neck is a narrow strip of land connecting North and South Bruny Island and offers one of the most iconic views in Tasmania. Plan Your Visit
Bruny Island is accessible by ferry from the town of Kettering, with regular services operating throughout the day. The island is a year-round destination, with each season offering its own unique charm – as is the case with Tasmania pack to be prepared for all season in one day. If travelling to or from the airport we don’t recommend catching the last ferry in case you miss it. It is about an hour from Kettering to the airport.
