Surrounded by the wild beauty of Tasmania’s East Coast and inspired by a love of thoughtful design, the intention was to create a sanctuary – a place where nature, comfort, and creativity meet.

Threefold sits on 100 acres of exclusive East Coast wilderness – just a seven-minute drive from Swansea, yet it feels wonderfully remote. Here, you’re free to wander, unwind, and reconnect with nature. Every detail at Threefold has been chosen and crafted with intention and care, including the timber that lines our walls and ceilings. The property owners grew and nurtured these trees on their family’s farm, then harvested and milled them themselves. Each board has passed through an eight-step process – growing, harvesting, milling, stacking, drying, re-milling, and finally being stained and then fitted to the distinctive angled ceiling and walls, making every piece truly unique and personal.

Inside, the space is warm and inviting, centred around a fireplace that makes cooler evenings feel easy and relaxed. The kitchen has been designed for both practicality and enjoyment, with a dishwasher and everything you need to cook comfortably, while a washing machine and WiFi ensure your stay is simple and stress-free. Thoughtful touches like bathrobes and beach towels are provided, adding to the overall ease of your stay.

Out on the deck, the experience continues. The pizza oven invites long, relaxed meals shared in the open air, while surrounding seating areas and the firepit create space to gather, unwind, and let the day stretch into the evening. On this remote piece of land, with no surrounding light, the night sky opens up in a way that’s hard to describe, filled with stars and, at times, the glow of the aurora. The outdoor bathtub has been perfectly positioned to take this in, creating a quiet, memorable place to slow down and switch off. From the deck, the view stretches across to the Freycinet Peninsula, grounding the home in its wider landscape.
